- 3 years agoHi philippao, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you please let me know if you've tried copying or moving the files into a new folder, applying the tags anew and then trying to search for them?
If you did and the issue persists, let me know and I'll send you an email to investigate further.
Thanks so much!

No this didnt work for me. We use dropbox for storing large volumes of files. The reason we use it is because they take up too much space of our hard drives. So not being able to search subfolders for files on line means we have to seriously question continuing with Dropbox.
I'm very surprised many more people are not facing the same issue?

Hi gordonharper, I hope you're doing well!
Can you send me a few screenshots in order to see the visual you see on your end when searching for sub-folders using the web?
Do you notice the same behavior on a different browser too?
Keep me posted!

We also have the same problem now, we have grando volumes of shared files in Dropbox and after the last update in mid-September the "search" function for files on PCs returns no results. This is becoming a big problem for us. Yesterday, support says it is should be a Windows problem, but the problem arose for me and 10 other members of my staff right after the major update of Dropbox.

Hi Claudio DErrico, are you searching for information on files that are online-only, or that are located on your machine with a green tick?

In fact, for both cases, I should search for both types of files using the "Search" function
thanks
Claudio
