Thank you ever so much for your time, I have no idea what has actually sorted the issue, but I ended up re-installing Microsoft 365 and this now appears to have resolved the issue.
I tried various other items of re-installing the hard copy, Updating all my files, logging out of everything and then logging back in all to no avail.
The files never opened on Dropbox.com either.
Yet, when I uninstalled Microsoft 365 and re-installed, everything in Dropbox became available again.

I believe this is asking for your MAC sign in password. Enter the pwd you use to sign into your screen.

I've faced this issue before. There are two ways to fix You need permission to perform this action Error. One of the following step should help majority of the people facing this issue.
Follow the steps below
1.Boot into Safe Mode
2.By changing the Owner
