Hi,
Thanks for your help. I had no idea I was using a beta version. But, last night I was just poking around and I clicked on Troubleshoot Compatibility on the program file. The troubleshooter changed the compatibility to Windows 8, and now everything works great. Except searching withing Explorer but that's in every folder.

Hey geokar1100, thanks for reaching out to us on the Dropbox Community!
I'd be happy to help, I'll just need a few more details to have a better visual of what you're seeing, such as:
- Do you get the same or a similar experience when the desktop app isn't running?
- What do you see when you hover over your Dropbox icon next to your computer's clock?
- Does your File Explorer crash after some time?
- If any error messages come up, could you send me a screenshot of it?
Any additional info would be very helpful. Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the repy.
- Just to be sure, I exited out of the app, and went into the Task Manager and ended every instance of Dropbox. I opened File Explorer and started clicking around. I went into the users folder where my Dropbox is. All of the folders open fine, I can click on pictures and they open (not a Dropbox folder). But, the program freezes when I click on anything in the Dropbox folder, and come to find out it also freezes when I click on anything in my iCloud folder. Weird.
- When I right click on the icon I see a dialog box with recent files, and other icons like go to website, etc.
- Explorer crashes as soon as I click on anything in Dropbox. Immediately.
- No error message pop up.
Thanks for your help.

Hmm. When you do run the desktop app, could you just confirm for me what it reads when you hover over the Dropbox icon that's next to your computer's clock?

I can see from the screenshots that you're on the beta version of the desktop app.
For this reason, could you try running the stable one after unchecking the Include me in early releases option from your online settings:
- Log in to the website.
- Click on you account avatar at the top right corner of the page.
- Go to Settings.
- From the General tab, scroll down to the section titled Preferences and uncheck the box next to Include me in early releases.
- Download and install the current stable version of the desktop app.
Please bear in mind though that if you're on a Basic (free) account, there's a three device limit and you'll have to make sure that you've got less than three devices connected to proceed.
Let me know how it goes, geokar1100!

Same problem, my Windows 10 File Manager freezes when clicking to open Dpbx files in my local disk. Other local Files justo open fine. Assume started after last Windows 10 update.
Not using Dpbx Beta
Any identified issue and/or solution ??
