Skyfay Your connection speed to Dropbox depends on the routing you get between your ISP and our servers, and may be slower than your ISP's rated speeds, and may vary over time. Sometimes resetting or retrying your connection gets you a different route and better speeds, but that is outside of our control. Some ISPs also throttle sustained connections so if you see an initial high connection speed followed by lower speeds, that could be the reason.

If you're only seeing this from a particular server, there may be an issue with that particular server or its network connection, but that would also be out of Dropbox's control, so you may want to contact your server or network admin for debugging any potential local or network issues that may be slowing the connection.

When using the Dropbox API, the implementation of the third party app itself also matters, so you may want to contact the developer of the third party app for support for it. There may be coding or configuration changes they can make to optimize its performance.
