Hi there, I absolutely hate the feature "Suggested from your activity". I would like to see a checkbox in settings that allows a user to disable that permanently and have the cleanest possible view of file(lists) and folders. The "Suggested from your activity" feature always shows my family photos or, like today, a preview of my tax form. Whenever I open dropbox in the office to browse my files, all my work colleges can see these previews too. The icon that hides it, is only remembering the setting as long as one does not delete cookies from the browser. At our company, it is policy to delete cookies every day at the end of the day. So this "hiding" setting is pretty useless for me. More over, please make it possible to have a clean, minimalistic UI without all the fluff, super big blue buttons and "easy access" helpers. Some people don't need it. It is distracting and disturbing.25KViews79likes40CommentsLarge downloads keep failing on the Dropbox website.
Consistently, regardless of browser, larger downloads keep failling just as they're nearly finished. I try to restart them, but they start right from the beginning again. My internet speeds are fine, so it's not that. I've cleared cache and cookies and tried Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. I saw this same issue in another post that was solved, but that was from 8 years ago and the solution no longer applies. We don't see creation/modification dates for our folders.
Explanation: Why dont we see dates on Folders, this is kinda destroys propper workflow. When i compare files, i need to make sure im using last ones. We can compare this properly offlone. The folder dont show any meta data for modified or created. This issue is visible when online as well in mobile app. Perhaps it's another limitation off free plan? I am not understanding how I can find out details on when a file was created. For example I have uploaded 714 PDF files today to a Folder PDF_11_10. When I look at the folder ALL the files show a modified date of today. Is there a way to get the actual creation date of each file and NOT just upload date. I have followed the instructions for 'file info' on Metadata but no luck. I would appreciate any solutions. Running on WIN11 with Dropbox PRO. In website the url contains &st=xxxxxx so we can use the link with with dl.dropboxusercontent.com ending with ;raw=1 While the windows app's sharing link doesn't include the &st=xxxxxx hence chaging dl.dropboxusercontent.com ending with ;raw=1 doesn't work.1.7KViews0likes6CommentsJob Application cannot be submitted
Hello, I'm trying to submit the applications for this Product Manager position here: https://jobs.dropbox.com/listing/6730240?gh_src=aonhf1 I think the application read my zipcode and think I belong to zone 1 but attempted to submit my application using a different zip code (Zone 2 or 3), but it still doesn’t accept the application. I saw some people ran to the same issue and got resolved when the post question here. Could you please look into it and let me know?30Views0likes3Comments
