No matter how long I wait, it stays like this indefinitely. Refreshing the page or trying a different browser doesn’t fix it either. I’ve tried Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera, but the result is the same on all of them. Even clearing history/cookies doesn’t solve the issue. Does anyone have a solution?52Views0likes8CommentsI can preview offline files on my Android device, but I can't open them with Microsoft.
Hello, I was on holiday and wanted to open a file I had successfully synced to be offline. However, when I tried to open the off-line file I received a message: "you can view this file offline, but you'll need an internet connection to edit it. Check your connection and try again OK" However, it doesn't even let me 'view' the file. Android v10 Galaxy Note9 App version: 414.2.2 I saw this discussion/Thread - but it didn't seem to have a resolution: https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001012/offline-mode-not-working-on-android/756275 and the thread is closed - so I can't add my comments there. Did you find a resolution to this issue?80Views0likes16CommentsPage isn't loading when opening a file in "Excel for the web" on Safari
Hi - I'm hoping someone can help me. We've been using dropbox for a while and it's been going swimmingly, but in the recent few months there has been a change. When I open an excel document it used to open in 'Excel for the web' and was easily editable, but recently it's stopped loading properly. I'm trying to open it using Safari browser (my friend who is using Microsoft software isn't having the same issue), and now instead of the file loading it looks like this, but never loads: Can anyone help? I've restarted my computer and installed any updates. Many thanks.164Views0likes21CommentsThe first line when viewing comments gets blocked by tools.
When someone leaves comments and I select it to read the whole thing, a box with the emoji, resolve and other options appears, blocking the last few words in the first line of the comment. Is there a way to turn off that function? It's super annoying to have to deselect the comment to read the first line, then select again to see the rest.54Views0likes6CommentsGenerating hierarchical folder structure overview in Dropbox
Hello Dropbox Community, We are looking for a way to generate an overarching view of our folder structure in Dropbox. Specifically, we need an overview that shows how the folders are organized hierarchically. For example, the "Testing" folder contains several subfolders, each of which may have additional nested subfolders, and so on. Our goal is to obtain a report that illustrates how these folder structures are configured, without accessing or revealing the contents of the files themselves. Has anyone found a way to generate such an overview within Dropbox? If so, we would appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to achieve this. Thanks in advance for your help!20Views0likes1Comment".pdf files are supported but something went wrong." error on the website
I don't believe this problem has been solved - at least for me. I get the error message (".pdf files are supported but something went wrong.") ONLY for one file (140 MB PDF), other small PDF files work fine, I am well under my quota, and the problem occurs with both Safari and Chrome browsers operating under Sequoia 15.3.1. I am a Basic DropBox user, so I understand "you get what you pay for". However, any helpful advice would be welcomed - as I've had to find a working solution for this file with a vendor other than DropBox.87Views0likes17CommentsMP4 file shows blank footage when uploaded to Dropbox
I have a video file that I edited on my PC, then rendered to an mp4 file. I can open the rendered file (I use VLC), and it plays as edited. When I upload that mp4 file to Dropbox, the result has blank file, when played back, has blank footage appended to the end. Why should that happen? I can reopen my local file, and, when played locally, it ends when it should, no blank footage at the end. Am I doing something wrong, and what can I do to get an accurate version of my file up to Dropbox. Thanks. John C84Views0likes5CommentsHow to set the default zoom level for PDFs?
When opening a PDF to edit, Dropbox always opens the document at a 99% zoom level, which is way to small for the text on any of these documents. I always tick it up to about 130% zoom so I can read the smaller text. Adobe Acrobat has a setting for a default zoom level but I can't find any such setting with Dropbox. Does it exist?28Views0likes1CommentQuick look isn't working on files, it shows an icon only on Mac OS Sonoma
I got a new M3 MBP and have been transferring everything over. On my old MBP 2015 I could use quick look to see what the files were both offline and online. On my new MBP when I do quick look it only gives me an icon. It doesn't show what is in the file or the photo. I really need to be able to see what is in these files. Why isn't allowing me to see what is in them? Does anyone know how to resolve this!!! Thank you!54Views0likes5Comments
