upgrades
699 Topics"cf.dropboxpayments.com refused to connect." - I can't upgrade my account.
I am trying to upgrade my account, but I'm getting an error when I choose credit card that states "cf.dropboxpayments.com refused to connect." Since I do not have a paid account yet, I cannot talk to a live customer service person. Any thoughts on how to make a payment? I do not have paypal.515Views0likes5CommentsPersonal plans with more storage
Hi! I used to have a paid personal Dropbox account, until I outgrew the 3TB of storage space. I downgraded to a free Dropbox account and started storing my files with a different provider. As a renewal of my subscription with this other provider is coming up mid-June, I was wondering if you are planning on implementing larger personal plans in the future? Ideally I'd love a package that has somewhere between 6 to 8TB. Switching to a professional account is not an option, because: - I already use a professional account from the company I work for, you can only use 1 personal and 1 professional account in the Dropbox software at the same time, and I don't want to upload my personal files to my company's account - a professional account requires several licenses (3, I believe), while I only need 1 Therefore, I would like to suggest to implement the option to purchase a larger personal plan with more storage space than the current 3TB (of course the plan with 3TB should still exist for users who don't need more than 3TB).20KViews72likes94CommentsMy plan won't update from Basic to Plus
I tried to make an upgrade for my plan to Plus, the credit card app had an issue and now my account is stuck believing that I am on a Plus subscription, and I cannot do anything. It gives me errors when I try to change the plan, or upgrade, or anything. My plan however is not on Plus, it is still basic. No charges were made on my credit card. The upgrade to Plus option is greyed out. The other two, do not work, I get this error "Sorry, there was a problem loading this experience." This is a very frustrating issue, and the fact that no customer support is available, even for an issue where I am trying to make an actual purchase is infuriating. I would 100% give up on this app if I didn't have so many files and integrations with it already.30Views0likes10CommentsI can't access my photos, as I'm being asked to upgrade my Dropbox account.
I REALLY need help, please. A very long time ago my wife and I wanted to put our photos, many of them precious, in a safe place. She suggested putting them om a USB but I said we should put them on something called "Dropbox" It was free and safe. What a fool I was. Over time it said my account was "getting " full so I deleted as many things as I could and things were fine. Then without using my account much at all I went to it and it says it's full and I have to pay a large sum of money, which I don't have, in order to get into my account. It seems like kidnapping. If I were to pay the money I don't even know if I could get my photos back without deleting them all. The only thing I can think of is, paying the ransom, downloading the photos to my hard drive, moving them to a USB (my PC is old and I can't fit in a USB and a wireless USB in at the same time) and terminating my account. Even then I'm afraid I will lose everything because it says that by terminating your account all of your data will be deleted. I really don"t know what to do. Wow, do I feel like u sucker.578Views0likes15CommentsWhich plan is right for my needs?
I have had a Basic plan for many years, I’ve used it to share files between devices and with other people, but now the sharing ability has been restricted. I understand the business need to generate revenue from the services offered, and I am looking for the right service for me. What I want is the ability to: (1) continue sharing files between devices; (2) share files with other people like I could previously, including sharing files with a publicly accessible link; (3) back up files from one or more devices, without the requirement to sync the entire archive to any one device; (4) explore files remotely by folder and individual file, rather than download as a collection (e.g. ZIP) as required by services like iCloud; (5) ideally map the archive to a drive or folder in Windows for archive management using file comparison tools (or an integrated file comparison tool at least as capable as BeyondCompare); (6) back up the archive to a local hard drive for extra security; (7) have >1TB of archive capacity; (8) be able to use this for personal use and business use as an individual sole trader, not a large company with a big IT budget. I know I need to pay for this level of service, and with the archive and backup facilities I can justify a business expense. But I need a competitive price, without paying for lots of extras I simply don’t need. Is Dropbox the right solution for me? Does the Plus plan meet all the above? Which is the lowest cost solution which does? If Dropbox isn’t the right choice for me, what should I be looking at instead?29Views0likes4CommentsAllow a personal account to have more than 3 TB, or more than 4 TB with the add on
Hello, I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of workload. This obviously equates to extreme files sizes. I was disappointed to learn Dropbox don't offer a package for single users over 3TB. I work solely and require more cloud space and don't want to have to upgrade to a 'per user' plan as this isn't cost effective. This option has to become available soon.56KViews159likes190CommentsUpdate billing info - Forcing me to upgrade plan..
I have tried to update my billing info, which appears to save, however it then directs me to the plan configuration page and wont let me continue unless I select an upgraded plan. Which I do not need. This is obviously a bug or pretty low tactic to force plan upgrades. There should be an option to retry payment method, or an option to have multiple payment methods. I do not wish to lose access to my account, but i'm also not going to be pushed into an upgrade I dont need. Any solutions for this?77Views0likes6CommentsI hope that the personal package option has a package larger than 4T
Currently, the limit of the personal package is 4T, which is actually not enough. The next upgrade is the team package, which is too cost-effective for individual users. I hope to withdraw from the personal package from 4tT to 20T. Thank you very much!17Views0likes2CommentsWhat plan should I upgrade to, so that my files don't get deleted/lost?
I have a question about the status of my plan. It says here on my account that the total size of my files is 2.99TB (almost 3TB). When I click on upgrade, the recommended/best value plan is the Plus plan with 2TB of storage. Does this mean that if I avail of the Plus plan, none of my files will be moved, deleted, or lost? Thank you so much!17Views0likes1Comment
