I received an email stating that I’ve been banned for sharing files over 20GB/MB, but I don’t have any files currently being shared and can’t identify which files the message is referring to. I checked the forums and noticed that others are experiencing similar issues. Recently, I downloaded a file via a Dropbox link that was shared on Patreon. The file wasn't mine, and I only accessed it through my web browser; it wasn't added directly to my Dropbox account. Shortly after clicking the link, I received the email regarding the violation. Could this be a bug? I’ve downloaded shared links from others in the past without any problems and have never received a warning like this before. Can't contact support if there no way to contact them an as well as get ding by downloading it from a link now does this to us?38Views0likes4CommentsBanned for "excessive traffic". I can't believe there's no way to ask for support, but here we are. I've been using Dropbox for about 15 years and over the past 5 years, use the public links feature to share small files with my music production colleagues. 5mb or so per file. Today, for some reason, I got an email that I'm causing "excessive traffic" and was emailed a link to get "unbanned". I did it twice but now it says I can't get unbanned. I shared a folder to "anyone with the link". When someone tries to access it from a new browser (never signed in to Dropbox before) they are always hit with a message to verify identity. I bought DropBox ONLY because it had the Send and Track feature. Am I correct in understanding, that: That it no longer functions and I should another service, open a separate account (both DropBox AND Send and track subscription) or what should I do? I am using the Quickbase Dropbox channel to create a folder and upload files to that folder. I then get the Share URL using the Quickbase Dropbox channel and save it in a Quickbase table. I can see the folder and its files when I log into my Dropbox account. But when I use the Share URL in my browser, I get a screen showing the folder name but that it is empty. For years I was always able to share files directly from my desktop by clicking on the folder/file in the local dropbox directory. But it no longer has this option! Good morning, I have my company dropbox email but was not previously connected to our shared folders. Our Admin person sent a link to the shared folders. When I select it, it wants me to register. When I try to register is says the account (email) already exist. I also get a request to upgrade my account. This should not be the case as our company has and manages our Dropbox accounts. I am not going to pay for a license if it is supposed to be included in our company bundle. How do I get this resolved? Thanks25Views0likes2Comments
