Can't view offline files on iPad without access to the internet
Something changed over the last couple of months. I have hundreds of JPEG photos of sheet music I made and stored in Dropbox, with each jpeg saved in the Dropbox app on my iPad to be viewable off-line so that I can access them while I perform. After many years of using it this way, very abruptly something changed and my stored offline jpegs and folders are no longer viewable on my iPad if I donât have Internet access. They all still have the blue icon illuminated indicating they are stored to my app for offline viewing but if the internet goes, everything vanishes if Iâm in a remote area without internet or cell service I can no longer access any of the images that are stored in the app for offline use ; this is a brand new issue after using Dropbox to do this for over a decade. is there something I can fix in settings? Or was something changed permanently about the iPad app?
The iOS/iPad app is reporting that I'm out of device storage
Both the Dropbox app on my iPhone and my iPad are stating I am out of local iPhone storage when I have plenty. I launch app and it says: âTo continue using Dropbox, delete some files, photos, or apps from your device. Yet my iPhone 16 Pro Max shows Iâm using only 199.09GB of 1.02TB And my iPad Pro shows Iâm using only 322.48GB of 2TB.. So not using anywhere near all my storage so not sure why not letting me use the App. Can use fine on MacBook, windows and a Android Phone its only with the iOS Devices :-(
Will I still be able to access my Dropbox while abroad? I'll be changing sim cards
I will be traveling abroad on vacation. I will have to switch out my sim card in order to get data at my destination abroad. If I switch out the sim card, will I still be able to access my dropbox while abroad? I have an iPhone XR if it matters.
Dropbox iOS problem: Unable to share more than 3 files at once.
After my Dropbox app was automatically updated recently (version 414.3), I can no longer send more than four files at once through another app. When I select four or fewer files, it works fine, but selecting more than four prevents me from tapping the send button. My friends who also use iPhones are experiencing the same issue, but Android devices donât seem to have this problem. (I'm using an iPhone 16 Pro.) My recording link: removed
Where is the camera uploads setting to change .heic to .jpg on iOS?
I have been using Dropbox for a long time. It worked I never had to change anything from my initial setup. On going from Windows 10 to 11 my camera uploads changed from .jpg to .heic. Most of my use for Dropbox is uploading photos from my iPhone. I have searched through the setting menus on the Desktop App, the taskbar as Dropbox is always open and the web. I can't find the thing. Where is this camera setting?
No pop-up notification that I've added duplicates of a photo to Dropbox on iOS
Same here. On my iphone when I select several pictures and choose save to Dropbox, it would tell me if there was a duplicate. In the last day or so, it stopped giving me that warning and instead places multiple copies of the file with a (x) suffix on the filename.
Apps in my iPhone say my Dropbox is empty when I try to attach files
Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you!
