Iâm using a basic account on an iPad mini and have had no problems over the years opening and editing documents in word and excel. I recently switched to the newest model (7 with iOS 18.3.2), updated Dropbox, word and excel, restarted the tablet and am continuously being asked to activate Microsoft 365 to edit documents. Iâve tried just entering my Hotmail info which has worked in the past but it says subscription not found. My Dropbox account is showing in word on the left hand side as an other storage option and I can view and open all of my documents but canât edit them. How can I fix this?14Views0likes2CommentsEasier editing of PDFs on mobile
It would be really useful if a couple of things were added to the editing of PDFs when using a mobile device. - For one, a simple way to add something like a tick or a cross would be really useful. - The ability to copy and paste any edits. - The ability to draw, like you can when editing on desktop.163Views1like3CommentsThe most recently edited file won't sync on my macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 desktop app.
For the past few weeks, I've very frequently encountered an issue where the most recently edited file wonât sync. The only way to resolve this is to move the file out of Dropbox and then return it to its original location. Strangely, when I move the file out of Dropbox, an older version of the same file appears. I then have to overwrite the old version with the most recent file that wasnât syncing. I'm using MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2, and my Dropbox desktop app is version v220.4.4126.64Views0likes3CommentsI can't edit one of my Excel files anymore.
I am trying to work on an Excel document. I have been able to edit it in the past and can edit other Excel documents with no issues. This one (which I downloaded, worked on my laptop and re-uploaded the new version) will not let me edit it. That defeats the purpose. How can I correct this? It loads with the active taskbar, then shuts it off, and I cannot edit it. I don't see a way to attach a file here but I can edit other documents that open in Excel for windows/web so why not this one???Solved46Views0likes6CommentsError opening and editing any file saved in a shared folder.
When we try to open the file it pop up with the error saying attached screenshot for better understanding. After logout and login still the same, we uninstall and install the dropbox app still the same error. Final we remove the users permission from share folder and then later we added the shared folder.Edit Markdown files (.MD) in a web browser
Hi, Right now you can edit Markdown (.md) files from Android devices, but you can't edit them online (via a browser). Please add this feature. I'd be happy if you treated just like a .txt file with no extra formatting. I think this would be a simple task for the dev team.44Views0likes2CommentsOne user can't open/edit shared Excel files via her desktop app.
Have a user that started having issues with opening shared Excel files 3 days ago. Goes to shared folder clicks to open file it pops up on screen but never allows access. Has a blue circle a if file is still opening. I have uninstalled /reinstalled Dropbox and Office with no luck. I did find yesterday afternoon if I go to task manager and end Dropbox she can then access file. Was sent message this morning of having issue again. Same procedure in task manager and she can ope/edit files.73Views1like7CommentsMy KiCAD files keep being marked as read-only and I can't edit them on the Windows desktop app.
I have a KiCAD project stored in my Dropbox and am actively editing it. I've never had issues with this arrangement before but suddenly opening some files as part of the larger KiCAD project inform me that they cannot be edited because the file is marked Read Only. In Windows explorer I go and uncheck the entire folder from being made Read Only, but then immediately check properties again and Dropbox immediately remarks it Read Only. I imagine this may impact similar types of applications with multiple files being opened and edited as part of a larger project. How can I stop Dropbox from marking this project read only? Is my only option to move it out of Dropbox and then lose backup capability?52Views0likes5Comments
