Hi folks, I'm using Dropbox Professional, with 3TB worth of space that I'm told is almost used up. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't have the option of simply adding another one or more terabytes of space to give me more room. It seems I have no alternative to jump up to a Business account, but I'm a team of just one person and don't want to add more users. Do I have to pay for three users on a Business account even if there's only one active user (me), or can I still fly solo but have all the extra storage such accounts provide>? Hi! I'm getting confused about the Professional vs the Essentials plan. On the Dropbox site it says for either plan that it's more advanced than the other. That couldn't possibly be true? It seems both are priced at 199 USD per year. So which one is actually better and is one fully contained in the other? https://help.dropbox.com/plans/dropbox-professional https://help.dropbox.com/plans/dropbox-essentials Thanks in advance for your feedback. -T.506Views0likes7CommentsiPad Files app not showing Dropbox folders and how I managed to solve this.
In working with a new iPad, I discovered that the Files app was not correctly connecting with Dropbox. No Dropbox folders showed up either in the Files app or in any other app with an open feature that would normally have been able to access Dropbox files. Oddly, when I clicked “Dropbox” in the list, there were no folders but I could add a folder and that new folder showed up in Dropbox on other devices (and in the Dropbox app on the iPad)! So there was some connection but not much… This is not an issue I’m experiencing on any of my other Apple devices (Mac or iOS). In talking with Apple support they had me delete the Files app, reboot the iPad, then reinstall “Files.” I did that, but to no effect. They escalated me to a higher level of support but while I was waiting, I also deleted Dropbox and reinstalled it. That solved the problem! So, if you can’t access your Dropbox folders and files in Files or in any of your other iPad apps, just delete and reinstall Dropbox—problem solved (at least for me, this time!)4.6KViews4likes6Comments--> Did you know... you can search for images using just text?
Hello Dropbox Community! My name is Lainie and I'm a Product Manager at Dropbox. Every now and again, I am going to post a "--> Did you know..." to 1) keep you informed of all of the cool technology that exists at Dropbox and 2) gather your feedback on how the features are performing. In today's, "--> Did you know..." I'll be talking about Image Search! Image search is allows you to use the Search Bar to search for the contents of the image using words to describe the image. For example, if you search for "cat" your search results will show files that 1) contain the word "cat" in the file name or body, AND 2) files that contain images of cat. No mention of the word "cat" is necessary! Pretty cool! If you haven't yet, I recommend that you check it out. Please respond to this thread and let me know... A) Did you know this feature existed? Do you use it? B) How can we make this even more useful for you? Have a great day! Hi there, This morning when loading a document I've been working on, the scrolling arrows in the comments box are not showing. Upon loading, they appear squashed in the top right hand corner of the comments box for a few seconds, and then vanish. Myself and a colleague are currently unable to scroll through the comments at all. They had been working fine up until today. I've loaded the file on three different browsers including Firefox - all have the same issue. Thanks, Justin.Solved197Views1like14CommentsFiles are suddenly zero kb
Hi, I have browsed through the forums, but couldn't find any relevant posts. I have a few documents that are several years old, SUDDENLY they are zero kb and cannot be opened. I haven't really changed anything in my set up. (I am on a Mac, Monterey, OSX 12.6.1, but I'm pretty sure the problem was there even before I updated to Monterey) The issue relates to BOTH offline and online files, i.e. they are zero kb both online and in my local folder! I have tried switching between "make files available offline" and "online only" but to no avail. Please help, since these are quite important files. Because I subscribe to dropbox via my apple account, I have to upgrade to professional there. I did that and paid a month ago, but my account in dropbox still shows I am only on plus plan. I have no way I can see to contact dropbox about this. I paid for a month and have no additional features -- one of which includes being able to contact them directly for support issues 😕201Views0likes1CommentCan I purchase 1 more TB for my Plus account to reach 4TB?
Good morning, I currently have a Dropbox Plus account. I've already included a 1TB add-on with this. Now it's starting to fill up as well, and I'd like to add an extra TB to a total of 4TB. I don't see the need to switch to a Professional account, where I have to pay directly for 3 users, while I don't use this. is there a way to extend my Plus account? Thanks in advance.631Views0likes9Comments
