I recently created my Dropbox account. I clicked 'Business', because I am using the account through work, but I didn't realise this meant I was getting a free trial that would expire?!? I needed this account to create a link that could be shared to hundreds of people. I have already sent the link, but I need it to be active for at least 42 days. The problem is my free trial expires in around 14 days. What will happen to my link when the free trial expires? Will it still work for those recipients? What will become of my account? Good morning I received the following email: The credit card used to pay for the subscription was cancelled but now they have cancelled my family plan even though I have already paid for the year? I'm having trouble with my subscription being downgraded from DropboxPlus to DropboxBasis. Because the amount of data in DropboxPlus is more than allowed in DropboxBasis, my subscription is no longer accessible. I myself have not ordered for downgrading. The cause seems to have started because a new app â which I tested â wanted access to the "Plus" subscription. I probably accidentally pressed the Google button for the necessary login, which eventually created a new account (the email address of the original DropboxPlus account is not the email address at Google). Not much later I received an email reporting the downgrading. I admit that this led to a lot of stress in the expectation that there might be little left of the stocks. I then investigated whether I could fix this and do not rule out that this has led to wrong (payment) actions. I contacted Dropbox about this and got a ticket. I did have a reaction but I couldn't do much with it. It also became clear that my account type will not immediately lead to further substantive action. I just had to figure it out. In itself, figuring it out is okay, but if you don't master the English language and have to rely on machine translations, you won't get much further. I was able to disconnect the newly created account from Google and give my own passwords. So it could be removed. Still my original account remains inaccessible ....... And...... In the meantime, I see two mutations on my bank account today. A debit and a refund. Hi all, I just cancelled a company account that has been using DropBox and in that process I also correctly lost additional space from my personal account that has been assigned as a team member of the company account. However, I got kicked back to the normal/default 2GB instead of the much higher quota I had before being connected to the company account. How can I get access to my earlier approved quota that was achieved by referrals? No clue what happened, so going to lay everything out here. Have a personal professional DB account, and upgraded to business as a trial, a business with 1 user. This creates two folders, your old personal file and the team folder. I didn't like how personal files are so close to business, i basically have my entire life in DB so wanted more separation and would recreate a business team account with my work email. Go into the business trial and cancel the trial. Which prompts you what would you like to do with the team files. There were no team files, I just created the account 5 min ago. There was only my personal files in a separate folder. So i hit delete permanently. My entire account is gone. It appears it permanently deleted everything and my account now says suspended if I try and login with my original email. I have a support ticket in, but currently freaking out as my entire life is in that Dropbox. I'm very tech savy and felt like that entire process was a disaster. If i have a personal account, and create a team, common sense would be the business and personal are separate files and not together. So once you close the team, you just go back to your personal account. Hi there so I paid for the "Dropbox plus" plan through my iphone, (app store) but I realised I cant even invite my team to access the dropbox account. I have been with Dropbox over 10yrs, thousands of photos, and decided it was time to cancel subscription. Been working on the past week making sure all photos have been copied to external drives and deleting photos and just another 400 to go, and all of a sudden - my password is not valid as you have to put it in everytime you want to delete..what?? It was 11:30pm and I went ahead and changed it, logged in and it froze, been trying to get back in and it is saying too many attempts!! My subscription starts up again Feb 28th - I do not want to spend another $11.99 on nothing! No phone to contact support, the bot thing is a joke - how do i downgrade my subscription and cancel the monthly payment?? Please HELP!! Cant afford this anymore..where is Support? I would like to downgrade but still want to permanately delete photos that are left Everytime I use Dropbox i get a stomach ache, i thought it was going to be over this month :( I had to log in with my google account just to get on this community..
