Hi, I have logged onto my Dropbox account and all of my files are missing. I have not been on in a couple of months and now everything is gone. I looked through deleted files and events. Nothing shows up. Is this something that can happen? What is the problem? They were definitely on this account.
Microsoft Teams integration loses login connection every other day
The new Microsoft Teams integration is great; we can now open shared links directly on the Desktop via the native app, which is a great time saver. Only bug for the integration is that users have to login to Dropbox via Teams every other day. It loses the login authorization and the 'open file in app' function is then not available anymore. Users need to login everyday in to Dropbox via Teams to make it work again.

Multiple Share Links with Independent Settings and Permissions Request: The ability to create separate share links for the same file/folder, each with unique permissions (e.g., view-only, comment-only, edit) and security settings (e.g., password protection, expiration dates). Why It’s Important: It’s common to share one file with different stakeholders who each require different levels of access. Separate links improve security and reduce confusion. 2. Send and Track Analytics for Shared Files Request: A feature that provides insights into how shared links are accessed—who’s viewing them, when, and how many times they’ve been viewed. Why It’s Important: Built-in analytics enable better tracking of engagement, making it easier to measure file reach and ensure important documents are actually seen. 3. Version Updates on Existing Send and Track Links Request: The ability to replace or update a file on an existing shared link (especially a “Send and Track” link) without having to issue a new link. Why It’s Important: Files often go through revisions; allowing in-place updates ensures recipients always have the most recent version, saving time and reducing the chance of outdated information circulating. These enhancements would streamline workflows for Dropbox users, particularly those who frequently share files in professional or collaborative settings.
Do collaborators automatically have access to new documents in shared content?
When I add new documents to a folder, do my collaborators who have access automatically receive access to the new documents? I notice there's a pop up box that has the option to send to them for review, but I just want to know they have an updated folder with the new documents. Thanks.
Picdrop style image review integrated with Dropbox.
We use our dropbox for getting image selects on large batches of images. We find out clients dislike using dropbox for this process (unless they already use DB but most dont) and have been pushing us to use picdrop (picdrop.com) instead as they find it much more user friendly. Annoyingly this means we're then copying our folders into picdrop and then selects back to dropbox. Id love to be able to have dropbox function like this. it would save us a lot of time and errors. Would this sore of quick thumbnails style image review be helpful for anyone else: photographers/filmmakers/moodboard people?
