I'd like a feature that allows me to secure a folder of files with a password for extra protection.
It would be a great idea to implement an extra layer of protection to be able to hide certain files or be able to lock them with a set password within the app since I experience multiple users on multiple machines of mine being able to access most of the files. Therefor I would really benefit from a folder I can lock with my personal password and therefor hide sensitive information or files that should not be accessed by other users but me. I would suggest calling it something like Vault or Hidden Files. This could also be done via integration through the apps, let people decide if they want to install the vault feature or not.
Being asked for a 6 digit code sent to an email address I can no longer access
I have a dropbox plus account that is connected to an old email address to which I can no longer access. I have the password, but after I log in I am asked for the 6 digit code sent to the e-mail address that I cannot access. The 8 digit codes I received when I signed up do not work. The help pages are useless in resolving this problem. Any ideas on what to do?
Using other way for 2 step authentication
Recently, I could not access my account as I didn't have access to my previous mobile and laptops, and I could not receive messages on my mobile number. I want to mention that the team has made a great effort to resolve the issue, and they even sent me a direct code on my mobile number and asked me to provide the code through email. However, due to my mobile number problem, I could not receive messages from foreign countries. Therefore, I request that you end the call sent through WhatsApp (which was on the same number) or call me on the number, or I will call them on the same number. However, they could not do so due to Dropbox's policy. So, I suggest that Dropbox include other verification methods, as Gmail and other service providers use the same approach. This will make it easier. Finally, I will give the team 5 stars for their efforts and response to the issue, which keeps my hope of getting my data high as they try various other ways to resolve the issue. Salute to the team.
Someone used my billing info and am now being charged monthly for a subscription
I noticed on my CC that I’m being charged by Dropbox again. I have only had a free account, so I was puzzled. Investigation resulted in finding someone fraudulently is using my info on an acct. And charging my CC. Obv I want that stopped. How do I report it, and stop further charges? There’s little I can do bcz I only have a basic acct and can’t call customer service. This is very frustrating. Thx.
