Can a "back" button be adder to the PDF viewer on iPad? We use Dropbox to host reference manuals, some are more than 1000 pages. It would be great if after clicking a link to a part of the document there was a back button which returned you to the previous page.2.6KViews7likes12CommentsDisable "Suggested from your activity" permanently
Hi there, I absolutely hate the feature "Suggested from your activity". I would like to see a checkbox in settings that allows a user to disable that permanently and have the cleanest possible view of file(lists) and folders. The "Suggested from your activity" feature always shows my family photos or, like today, a preview of my tax form. Whenever I open dropbox in the office to browse my files, all my work colleges can see these previews too. The icon that hides it, is only remembering the setting as long as one does not delete cookies from the browser. At our company, it is policy to delete cookies every day at the end of the day. So this "hiding" setting is pretty useless for me. More over, please make it possible to have a clean, minimalistic UI without all the fluff, super big blue buttons and "easy access" helpers. Some people don't need it. It is distracting and disturbing.25KViews79likes40CommentsHow can I share a file with view access?
We use Dropbox for our weekly schedules. When I open a schedule (file), it opens in view mode. When my new employee opens a file, it opens in edit mode. This is dangerous because it's an excel doc and if she's accidentally in a cell and types anything, the previous information is erased. If I want to edit, from viewing the file I can click on the "open in" drop-down and choose "Excel for web", then edit and save & close. I want her to be able to open for viewing like I do with the option to open in excel for web. I've looked for help on this issue and the only response online is a quick view option . This will change settings for opening a viewing sidebar (which NONE of us want) or full screen. I've changed her settings to quick view full screen but it still opens in edit mode. Help???27Views0likes1CommentCan I get the actual creation date of the file, and not just the upload date?
I am not understanding how I can find out details on when a file was created. For example I have uploaded 714 PDF files today to a Folder PDF_11_10. When I look at the folder ALL the files show a modified date of today. Is there a way to get the actual creation date of each file and NOT just upload date. I have followed the instructions for 'file info' on Metadata but no luck. I would appreciate any solutions. Running on WIN11 with Dropbox PRO. Hi, Normally when I browse through my camera uploads on my PC, I can see the pictures on the right side of the screen when I push "Example". These pictures are large. Now however I do not see anything at the most of the pictures, and small pictures on others. Dropbox is set to sync pictures so that they are available off line. Can anyoune help solve this? Thanks in advance Regards Esben119Views0likes21CommentsCan't preview photos in Dropbox folder when files are online-only
One of my team members updated to a new computer and now she cannot see any previews for photos that are online only. It is important for our workflow to see the image previews online only becausee we work with thousands of images in our catalogs. I am on an older Mac but both of us are on the same OS (15.3) and I can see previews no problem. Contacted DB support and they did not fix the issue. Tried a "hard reinstall" as supposed by DB support but did not work. They are not offering any other help which is very disappointing considering how many licenses we pay for. Anyone else able to fix this issue? Thanks in advance for your help!128Views0likes8Comments
