I have the problem with updating my payment info while my card expired. I connected to staff and they ask a billion questions. After they could not solve the problem one of support guys suggested to downgrade my account to Basic and then upgrade it. It did not work but now I can't type to support in chat and by email because I am on Basic plan. Many people do not need 2TB of data. So $9.99 a month is waste of money. But $0.99 a month for 50-100GB would be great with a 4 device limit. I, like many other consumers, expect to receive the services I pay for. Yet, for the past three years, Dropbox has charged me $119 annually via PayPalâ$360 in totalâwhile my account has remained on the free plan. I have never received the service I was billed for. Attempts to resolve this issue have only revealed serious flaws in customer support and dispute resolution: The phone number provided by PayPal no longer works (a message says go to account and get a call back - though this doesn't exist). Chatbots offer no meaningful help. Live chat representatives cannot assist because the payment was processed via PayPal? There is no clear way to report a serious billing error or processing glitch. Consumers deserve accessible, responsive, and effective customer support when companies wrongfully charge them. A major platform like Dropbox should have a functioning system to handle billing disputesânot force users into endless loops of automated dead ends. It is reasonable to expect service for payments rendered, and immediate resolution and a full refund when there is an issue. As titled, I have never authorized any payments with my free plan, yet I found I was charged $119.88 on March 25 2025, when I look back I found out I was actually charged the same amount on 2024. I only have one account (this one). No transaction id associated with my transaction, so I cannot use the lookup tool. This is extremely frustrating, I have read many discussions with the same issue but no clear solve was found. Please help. Iâve only just noticed Iâve been charged over the last three months for my Basic account, Iâve tried to log a ticket, but thatâs not allowed with a basic account so I can't get help or talk to a human!! My credit card statement doesnât have a transaction ID, just states âDropbox Db.Tt/Cchelp Ieâ so the billing checker does not help me. I can't get anywhere because I'm stuck talking to bots and going in circles. Please can somebody help me? I cannot contact support directly because I'm on a Basic plan. I have an issue with my subscription. When I log in via web or on my android app my plan says Basic (free). However, on January 26th I upgraded my plan to professional and ever since every month dropbox takes 19.9 dollars from my bank account. I upgraded the plan via an email I received and I also got a confirmation email for the subscription. I would like to cancel this subscription as I'm not satisfied with the services and I would like to file a complain and ask for refund as I haven't be able to use the additional space I paid for for the last two months. And additoonally I coudn't find any contact where I can directly contact dropbox support regarding all these issues. Good morning I received the following email: The credit card used to pay for the subscription was cancelled but now they have cancelled my family plan even though I have already paid for the year? We tried to reach out to your plan manager [Removed as per Community Guidelines] multiple times, but werenât able to successfully charge your subscription after multiple attempts. I need my work data & photos to save in my dropbox acc. But I can't purchase upgrade from Myanmar. More storage space is necessary urgently. I was try to cancel subscription and more steps. I think my language skill is bad or networks are too confused or a little misunderstanding between account access and me. Then I have no credit card to pay for upgrade and so I only found how can I get free storage space. Please help me to upgrade my account to get only more storage. Hello, I had upgraded my account to dropbox plus using a 30 day free trial link. It took me to a transaction page to confirm the bank transaction etc, which I had thought was weird since it was a 30 day free trial. I had then later found out that I had been charged ÂŁ9.99 even though I used the 30 day free trial link on the app! I tried to refund and cancelled the subscription using apple refunds and it stated that dropbox was not eligible for a refund. I can't even speak to a live person about this issue.
