Recovering deleted folder not possible + Support not reachable
Hello dear community, A week ago I created a folder that was also listed in my Dropbox Deleted page. When I restored it, I could only see some subfolders (not all), but no files. When I then tried to contact support, the contact option was greyed out. Why is that? Thanks for your help and sorry if this topic has been covered extensively elsewhere.
Files aren't syncing on my Windows device, but no firewall or network issues.
Dropbox (DB) periodically stops syncing but there are no firewall nor network issues. I just find out that files have not been updated despite my working online for hours with no issues. This is not a firewall issue either. I can uninstall and reinstall the desktop app and things work again...for a while. Inevitably the sync fails eventually. On occasion I can stop the DB processes with Task Manager then restart the app and the sync SOMETIMES starts again. But just now I tried that and it didn't work. Likely I'll either have to re-start or more likely uninstall and reinstall the app. Anyone else have this problem, and if so, did you resolve it? I can't figure this out. It seems to be pretty random. I'm on Windows 11 Home.
How to expand left sidebar width on the website?
How can I expand the left sidebar width. I have many levels of files and I can not see the names of folders that I want to move files into. As you can see below, all I can see is the first letter of the folder "A" and there are several of them. I want to be able to expand the left sidebar so I can see the names of those folders and not just the first letter. I was able to do it before, but not now for some reason. Thanks!
Pop-ups in my Basic account keep prompting me to re-subscribe to Plus
Hi, I have been using the Basic Plan for a while now and it has worked well. Recently, I have been getting an annoying popup requesting that I resubscribe to the Plus Plan eventhough I have always been using the Basic Plan. The popup states "Welcome back, Michael! We noticed that your subscription has ended. Resubscribe now to not miss out on advanced productivity features and 2,000 GB or more of space." It shows my current plan as Basic with the 'Current Plan' button greyed out and prompts me to resubscribe to the Plus Plan. The popup is very annoying and interferes with the smooth running of Dropbox. Also, any new items I add, via the browser webpage, do not show up on any device. How can I stop this popup as I want to continue with the basic plan? Regards,Free storage of 30+GB now downgraded completely to 2gb after many years of not using it
Hi, I just checked my dropbox account after more than 4 years and I noticed that my basic account had 30+gb free space before from referrals but now it's reporting 2gb only. I checked my notification and it seems the downgrade started on Dec 2021 onwards. As far as I remember, the referral and other bonuses before should have been permanent. Can anyone from dropbox please revert my storage back? Btw I'm sure im only getting 2gb free now, not just the basic plan but the free storage itself as I'm already getting notification of out of storage
I have nearly 1.5 GB of ghost files taking up my storage space. Where can I find them?
Basic plan, no extras. 2.25GB of storage total. I have 0 bytes in my backups. I have less than 10 folders, and have accounted for every file in every folder and in all sharing areas, to less than a 100 MB at most. And yet DropBox still says that I am using 1.61 GB of storage. Where? I have left every shared folder that was taking up space, and absolutely cannot find what is eating up all this space. Any ideas? Also, why can't we see the size taken up at a folder level? Especially when friends and colleagues are sharing folders for different projects, a way to quickly see exactly how much space everything is using would be a great tool, which shouldn't be hidden behind a paywall.
How to get my files from my old computer to my new one?
I got a new computer. I downloaded dropbox. But it's as if it's a new account. Not asking me to sign in so it can sync all my info. I thought this was the email I used on the other computer but apparently not. If I log out and go to log in, it uses the new info. Not sure how to get all my info from the old computer to this one.
