I have the iOS widget set up with different buttons for scan, upload file/photo, and record. But when I tap on any of them, all they do is open the dropbox app. They used to take me directly to their associated function. I have tried adding/removing the widget, reinstalling the app, and restarting my phone. Any ideas what to do? iPhone 16 iOS version 18.3.2 App version 420.2.2 Dropbox Basic30Views0likes2CommentsMissing files from my account but I didn't delete them
Hello I have Dropbox Basic I had two dropbox folders where I saved short videos from the same dropbox account every month (15th day aprox.) one short video captured from outside security camera to dropbox. Now these files are gone and I have not deleted them myself...🤔 There is nothing in deleted files folder either. This malfunction may have occurred more than 30 days, happened maybe ~2+ months ago because I have the february 2025 file saved. Can I get these files back, there where many years snapshots (~5 Years * 12 snapshots)?Solved41Views0likes4CommentsWill I lose my files if I cancel my account?
I have a basic Dropbox account. I want to cancel my account. I don't understand what happens to my files when I cancel my basic dropbox account. Will my files revert to the hard drive automatically? Will I have to do something to retrieve or save my files back to my hard drive? Thank youSolved1.4KViews0likes1CommentUnauthorized charges on my bank account while on a Basic account
I have a Basic Account, which should be FREE. In the last two monts, I hade twice a charge of €15,98 on my bill and noone is able to tell me why. The chat of Dropbox is featured for NOT ANSWERION to the questions and problems of the users. I am also NOT ABLE to find a mail-adddress or PEC address fro problem solving. Very simple dropbox user. upload blueprints, copy link, email to vendors. Now all my vendors can see eachother and thats not good. Also it is making my invitees request my permission to access the folders. All im doing is creating folder, copying that link and emailing it to my vendors. What changed and why can they see eachother now. im not paying for a stupid account so i can call customer service.29Views0likes3CommentsNew computer not making files local
I have a Dropbox that I've maintained for nearly 14 years over various devices, and on my latest computer I've found that the files aren't syncing to offline mode automatically. I changed the setting that allows new files to be saved offline and not just to the cloud, but I can't seem to figure out to how to make sure that it downloads everything (almost 2GB) back to my new system. I can wait for it for sync everything (though 90% is already on the computer, just in an older folder that the new installation of Dropbox refuses to use), but I can't figure out an easy option to do so.Solved1.8KViews0likes11CommentsStorage alert says I'm about to stop syncing but I have enough space
Hi there I recently cancelled my paid plan as I've switched to another storage option that serves me just fine. Over the years I gained more Dropbox storage through referrals etc, so my total storage is showing 10.13GB since I cancelled my plan. Plenty for my needs as all that is on Dropbox is a shared folder managed by a colleague. However, I'm now getting alerts in the app that I'm almost out of storage and that even 'one more file' might break everything. Is this just marketing hype or something I need to be concerned about? The latest alert is an email that says: Notice: Your files are about to stop syncing, **** Here's access to up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space. There's limited space available in your Dropbox. Even adding just one more file might stop your account from syncing and being able to access them when you need to Yet when I go into my account settings on the top right of the Dropbox web app it confirms that I have 10.13GB. The shared folder takes about 8GB so I comfortably have space to spare. So do I just have to put up with annoying emails from Dropbox pushing me back onto paid plans now that I'm back to a free plan, or is there a danger of any consequences? Thanks!
