I am trying to download photos from my photographer's Dropbox account to my external hard drive. When I try to open the Zip (which shows size 7.53GB), I receive this error: "Unable to expand (file name).zip into Downloads (Error 2 - No such file or directory.)" I see that many other people have this issue. How can it be resolved?5KViews0likes7CommentsI put all files available offline, but Dropbox doesn't download them.
Hi! I recently bought a new Macbook and wanted to sync my files to my new computer. Unfortunately, I am unable to download all the files. They are mostly kept in the cloud. I changed the preferences to offline in the Dropbox settings, but this did nothing. What to do? I need to have all my files available offline, because the cloud version prevents me from searching files and file contents via Spotlight and browsing through pictures is a drag. I have the latest Dropbox, 2TB subscription, Macbook M3 Pro, all the latest updates.649Views0likes9CommentsRemove "Log in or sign up" Popup when downloading from a shared link
We recently chose Dropbox as the best-looking and most functional drive-sharing tool for our video production company. However, there's an annoying popup prompting clients to log in or sign up when we share links. The "Continue with download only" button is easily missed, especially by older clients, making us look unprofessional. It's frustrating that such a customizable platform has this issue. We hope for a solution soon!4.5KViews5likes27CommentsI can't download a shared file as I'm being told I'm out of storage
I'm trying to download a large file from Dropbox that someone shared with me, but instead of seeing a 'download' option, I get this message... "Your account is out of storage!" Here's the problem – I don't WANT this massive file in my Dropbox account – I just want to download it. It *looks* like Drobox is shaking me down for money in order to access the file that's been legitimately shared with me, but I'm holding out hope that that's not the case. Open to ideas on how to get this fixed. Thanks.30Views0likes1CommentI cannot download any files from the website as I'm getting an error
I cannot download anything from Dropbox. The first time in any session, a file or folder can download. The next time I try to download anything, large or small, I get the above error message. I have zero faith in Dropbox and want to remove all my files and use another provider. Please tell me how I can access my files.24Views0likes1CommentZip file can not decompress Mac OS X
Hello DB. I have now, on multiple occasions, had clients write me that when they download a folder I sent them, the resulting .zip file will provide an error when decompressed. I have myself recreated this on a Macbook Air M2 on OS X Monterey and Big Sur. The downloaded zip file has the correct size, but is corrupt. Hello everyone I am new to Dropbox. I have the free trial. I am trying to download all my photos from various phones into Dropbox. Then I am going to transfer them onto an external hard drive. I have just downloaded Dropbox onto my PC and the photos all have clouds next to them. How do I download them so I am able to transfer them. I have thousands so doing this as multiples would be better TIA.67Views0likes1CommentWhat is the best way to download 50,000 images from my Camera Uploads folder?
Hi, I am slowly downloading the contents of my Dropbox (approx 600GB) to an SSD drive from the website. I do not have the folders synced to my computer as they'd fill it. The last job I have to do is to download the contents of my Camera Uploads folder. I can't find a way to see exactly how many photos/images there are, but I estimate 50k+ based on what I've transferred from my phone over the years. I've attempted and given up on this task a few times. It seems the 'easiest' way to do it is to move the photos into new folders in chunks – seems 1000 at a time is the maximum. I can't see a way to keep track of what's been downloaded without separating them into folders like this first. Factoring time to then download to my computer, unzip the file and then upload to the SSD this is going to take a very long time. Does anyone have any suggestions for any better and/or easier ways to achieve such a large transfer of images? Thanks very much, Emma97Views0likes1CommentI can't see my files, even though I upgraded.
Hello, I added several files yesterday on my new dropbox account. I had a message alerting me that Ive reached my basic capacity. I therefore paid to upgrade to a higher capacity but I still cannot see some pictures. How can I solve this problem please ? Many thanks !
