Storage on my phone is full. I want to save all my photos (10,000 or so) to dropbox and then delete them off my phone. Normally when I open the dropbox app on my phone, it automatically uploads my photos. I can see them on the app on my phone. I can see them on my dropbox web app. I have no idea what is happening with the photos in the 'camera uploads folder on my dropbox desktop app (it just seems to be uploading but never ends and the photos are all over the place. What can i do to free up phone storage and not lose my photos? Today my dropbox phone app wont upload any photos - it is saying 'your device storage is full, please delete some files and restart dropbox'. The answer to question 1 might help but if anyone has any tips on how to get the photos off my phone and permanently saved to dropbox it will be appreciated. I just purchased a new Windows 11 computer. I used an external hard drive to transfer 900GB of files from my old computer to the new one and then disconnected that hard drive. Now Dropbox appears to be going through on my photos on the hard drive of the new computer and uploading them to my "Camera Uploads" folder. I get this message "Importing Photos about 39 hours left" from Dropbox for that process. I do NOT want the photos on my new PC's hard drive in Dropbox. How do I stop this automatic upload? I've changed the autoplay options in Windows 11 and that didn't help.Solved54Views0likes7CommentsHow to reset my camera uploads, I tried everything
Hi! I need to force the Android app to re-upload all the photos in my gallery. I set it up so it uploads everything, not just new photos, but it will only upload new items. I believe it recognizes older pics as "already uploaded" and I don't know how to reset this. I have already: -re-installed the app -deleted the cache memory -deleted all files in the Dropbox camera upload folder -restarted the device -even tried from a new device with a different SD card but with the same files in it Still, Dropbox will only upload new files. I also tried manually uploading but due to the fíes being cover 1500, the app never stops processing the files and never uploads anything. I'm on Android 12 and no other apps are set toSolved7KViews1like78CommentsHow can I always show the most recent files first in the camera uploads folder?
I want my Camera Uploads folder to be organized to always show photos chronologically with the most recent first. That seems like an obvious default and yet every single time I open it, it shows random ancient files and I have to select Modify and most recent first. Why?19Views0likes1CommentCamera Uploads IOS 18 on iPad not working correctly
I have upgraded to iOS 18 on my iPad and updated the Dropbox app. I turned Camera Uploads on, with Upload from set to Camera Roll and Back up set to All Photos. Nothing is uploaded, even though my Camera Roll has over 16,000 photos. Uploading manually is not an option, as there is no Select All function. In addition, manual upload only allows 400 photos at a time. The new iOS 18 Photos app no longer has a folder named 'Camera Roll', so I'm wondering if that is the problem? I logged out of the Dropbox app and back in, which then took me through Set Up your Dropbox. The Upload Photos option seemed like it would work if I chose Imports, but again there is no Select All option. So I went back to the Camera Uploads settings and turned Camera Roll off, and Recently Saved (under Smart Folders) on. Same thing, nothing uploads. I'm stumped!108Views0likes5CommentsFrom Musicians to Beginners, There's a Community Just for You!

I need to know specifically how to organize photos and videos in the CAMERA UPLOAD folder. If for example i create a VIDEO folder in the CAMERA UPLOADS folder while on my DESKTOP PC and then move all movie extensions to it, will that sync so that my ONLINE Dropbox copy of CAMERA UPLOADS looks the same (would both now have a folder called VIDEO containing all the movies)? Second, IF I DO the above, will dropbox then sync those same files back in from my phone (assuming it does not see them as they are in a new folder within CAMERA UPLOADS called VIDEO) or, does it only import into the dropbox CAMERA UPLOAD folder the new photos i take with my phone? Thank you A third possibility is that it is allowing creating of the new folder called VIDEO in to the folder called CAMERA UPLOADS but not actually moving those items. Just showing them in there....31Views0likes1CommentThe uploaded photos from the Camera Uploads aren't synced locally.
Hey there, Here's a problem I'd like some advice on. What I would want: 1. The photos from my iPhone get automatically uploaded to my Camera Uploads account in Dropbox - SUCCESS 2. The uploaded photos from the Camera Uploads account get automatically downloaded/synced to the hard drive of my MacBook - FAIL The filenames of the uploaded photos are visible in my desktop app, and if I double-click on them to view them, they will get downloaded eventually I have checked all settings I could think of and they all seem to be right. Still, I don't get to the expected result. Any guidance is much appreciated164Views0likes5CommentsPhotos uploading on phone even though Camera Uploads is turned off.
I've had Camera Uploads turned off on my iPhone for Dropbox for several months, and yet I noticed today every photo in my iPhone library is showing up in Dropbox Photos, even deleted photos. I can't find any other setting to turn this off. Any ideas why this is happening and how to stop it?561Views0likes2Comments
