Just to give some context, I have the Essentials subscription for Dropbox, and in my settings, my last name is only entered once. So, I’m confused why it keeps showing up twice in the emails it sends. For now, I’ve removed my last name from the settings to stop the duplication, but that’s really just a workaround, not a fix. Has anyone else run into this?6Views0likes1CommentIssue when trying to login to an account that was recently deleted and re-created
Hello, We have created a dropbox account with an adress email. We have deleted this account because we thought we made an error with the set up. We are trying to recreate a dropbox account with the same email adress. Dropbox tells me that they are happy to see me back, we put the password but then nothing happens. Nothing is opening, we stay on the same screen where we have to put the password. We once received the 6 digit code but we don't get any screen where we can enter it... Can you help me? Thank you. Déborah45Views0likes8CommentsI'm trying to update my email address, but Dropbox says the new one is currently in use.
When I followed the steps to change my email address, I entered the new address and the system said the email was already taken. I have had that (new to Dropbox) email for a decade so I know it is not someone else. Any ideas?Solved20Views0likes3CommentsVerifying email not working. It won't let me share content.
I have verified my email address multiple times and Dropbox will not let me share or copy a link and it keeps saying that I can't until my email address is verified. What can I do? I can't even chat with support because it says I have to verify my email address.792Views2likes26CommentsHow can I disconnect my personal Dropbox account from a team to link it with my new account instead?
Hi everyone, I’m having trouble fully disassociating my personal Dropbox account (which I pay for and is under a different email and password) from a former Dropbox Business team account so I may link it to my new Dropbox Lumen account on my PCs. Although I’ve unlinked the account from my PC and am no longer part of the team, Dropbox still identifies my personal account as associated with the former firm team, which is preventing me from linking it to my new Lumen business Dropbox account. I need guidance on how to: Fully remove my personal account from the Flatiron team without affecting my personal files (these were never part of the team). Ensure my personal Dropbox account operates as a standalone account. Any advice or steps to resolve this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Mark21Views0likes2CommentsNeed help with cancelling and deleting my account
Hi everyone, I need your assistance to resolve a technical issue with cancelling my subscription and permanently closing my Dropbox account. Here’s the situation, which I couldn’t find a clear answer to: My account type is Dropbox Basic Free. It states, "2 GB of storage to help you store and share files. Renews at £9.99 (with add-ons and any discounts applied)." I created the account last night, and it recorded my bank card details. Today, I decided to cancel my subscription and delete my account, as these are my basic rights, which Dropbox explicitly mentions when creating an account. Based on the provided instructions, there should be a cancellation option under the ‘Subscriptions’ page, but it isn’t there! For your reference, I created the account using my Mac, not a mobile device. This missing cancellation option is my first challenge. I then attempted to delete my account directly, assuming it might resolve the issue. However, I encountered the following message: "Once you've made sure you have a copy of your files saved somewhere other than Dropbox, go to Manage Subscriptions and cancel any active subscriptions. Then return here or refresh this page to confirm you'd like to delete your account." This means I cannot delete my account unless I cancel my subscription first, yet the ‘Manage Subscriptions’ page offers no option to cancel. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and time-consuming, especially since Dropbox claims to uphold clients’ rights to cancel subscriptions and delete accounts easily. I would really appreciate it if anyone or the supporting team could help resolve this issue. Apologies for the detailed explanation; I wanted to provide full context, as I imagine others might face a similar situation. Thank you!46Views0likes5CommentsCan't make files 'online only' there's no option when I right-click
I've always had this option but my laptop is not working due to massive file sync which I've now paused - but why has the option for online only disappeared? I've checked settings and it's set to save online as default etc.18Views0likes1Commentdropbox keeps updating to beta when i have opted out of early access
