Account Access
1763 TopicsMy Dropbox account was hacked and is sending scam email to my contacts.
Hi, my account which was apparently set up with one of my vendors (CLIO) in my corporate email address has been hacked and it is sending scam emails to all my contacts. The emails are sent by a noreply@dropbox email address and say that there is a document shared by me (with my full name) which contains a link to open the file. I have tried resetting my password by it is not working as I am sure the hackers have rerouted the credentials. When I tried to contact support I get a generic response that someone will get back to me in 24-48 hours?! The damage that can done in that time frame is awful. Cannot believe there is no elevated access for issues such as this.29Views0likes5CommentsI can't access my account after cancelling the Business plan
Haven't been able to access my account after business team was cancelled and all individual accounts are not able to sign in even though they all were created and separated before the business team and I didn't resubscribed to the plan. My main account is not accessible anymore even though I was still using it often and was created before the others. I was supposed to get help from Dropbox support to get access to my account again but I never received or got an email.90Views0likes13CommentsPlease help me recover my account and files
Hello, I had all of my really sentimental memories in photos and other files (from my time in university and over the years) deleted, but I never was clearly informed about this as I receive hundreds if not thousands of emails a month and I don't have time to read every single one of them. I may have skimmed over the email and did not realize the permanent deletion part as it was vague and I guess I missed that part of the text. Please help me recover my account and my college memories. I see that others have gotten their account recovered, so I would like for a support agent to do the same for me. I would very much appreciate the help... Thank you. Josh91Views1like7CommentsI got an email saying my account is closed. Can I recover my files?
I stupidly didn't realise that all my photos were actually saved in my Dropbox account only, and not on my computer. I received an email in October 2024 saying my account has been closed, but I can still log into my Dropbox account and see some files. If I upgrade my account again, will I be able to see all the other files? Or retrieve them? Please help Thank you!19Views0likes3CommentsSmall company getting billed but staff using personal accounts
Small company is billed annually for Dropbox but the 2 staff use personal accounts to access company files. These personal accounts run out of space and are prompted to upgrade. I'm one of the 2 staff. What is the process to obtain login information for the company account (the one being billed annually)?14Views0likes2CommentsSomeone accessed my Dropbox account and deleted all files, and want money to get them back

i’ve tried several recommendations with the same problem but it didn’t help (checking spam, adding no-reply dropbox to my contact, etc), but i’m still not receiving any codes i once created my dropbox account long ago and i still can open it on my device until 2 months ago, then i’m logging out to switch account (because i have several acc), but when i tried to log in again, it need to verify with code that sent to the email the email that i’ve been used is somehow missing and cannot be logged in, but recently i can make new email with the same username and email address that connected to the account i have in that dropbox account, but still i didn’t receive any codes when i tried to log in. please help me fix this 🥹 cause there’s no problem or warning at all after all this years i’m using email that i found out later inactive/lost :( but now i get the email address back so i should’ve log in to that account right?23Views0likes3CommentsI lost access to my email, now I can't login to my Dropbox account
Hi! tried to reach my deopbox account and realized (as so many others) that an additional six digit code had to be provided in order to log in. The problem is that the email connected to my dropbox account was deleted a little more than a year ago due to a shutdown of the email server by the ISP. Back then I had to change all my email addresses but forgot the one connected to my dropbox account. So: No more (old) email. No more server. No more email domain (bredband.net). Any suggestions? Looks kinda dull to me... Br, /Thomas19Views0likes2CommentsI need help locating my paid account as it shows I only have a Basic one
I've ben trying to locate an email address for Dropbox so that I can ask why I keep being shown as having only the Basic account, when I have paid or more. Can't even find my past documents. Seems like a typical example of robots forcing everyone to fit with their pre-arranged responses rather than allowing a customer to ask a simple question. Not very satisfactory. How can I resolve this?47Views0likes1CommentI had an account with 2 TB and today it's 2 GB. What gives?
I had an account for years that had 2TB on it. Today it's 2GB and no files. I still have the mirrored folder in Windows so there's that. No indication of deleted files being reported by Dropbox What the heck happened and why? I don't think I got any notice as to what happened... Bill69Views0likes5Comments
