I am trying to enable my users to upload files directly from their iPhones (Files apps) using a file request. When my users upload a single file (in response to clicking the file request link), they receive a confirmation message when complete. When they upload multiple files they receive no confirmation message. In both cases I, the account owner, receive messages indicating the users have submitted files, and the files are located the the correct DB folder associated with the file request. Thank you.66Views0likes8CommentsAllow file requests via mobile app (Android, iOS)
Seems like this has been recommended in the past but was closed fairly quickly. Would definitely like to have this available on mobile, it's a hassle when I'm trying to create these on a go, and your mobile website is really clunky. Absolutely hate trying to do this on mobile web and it seems kind of silly not have the option in the mobile app. Would love to see this implemented!26Views0likes1Comment- 40KViews147likes80Comments

Previously when I have upgraded to a new iPhone, I have not had problems with Dropbox remembering to sync with my Camera Uploads folder. I upgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro yesterday and Dropbox is now uploading all of my photos elsewhere, although I do not know where they are going. The individual activity dropdown screen is also not working, so I am unable to know where they are being uploaded. I want to avoid them being duplicated and backed up elsewhere. How can I resolve this problem so I understand where my photos are being uploaded and can re-sync them with the original folder I've had for over 10 years where my photos and videos should be being backed up?14Views0likes1Comment'Save to Device' not allowing me to save a file into an app on my iPhone
For some months I've been using the "Save to device" function in the Dropbox iPhone app to send audio files from Dropbox to Pocket Casts so I can listen to them there. But lately it's not working right anymore. I choose "Save to Device", choose PocketCasts from the apps shown, and the file appears to download as usual. But formerly it would then switch to PocketCasts. Instead, now it stays in Dropbox, the screen appears to jump backward or recede, as if I'm looking down on a mattress that the screen has just landed on and monetarily receded into, for a second and nothing more happens. If I try again, it doesn't show any downloading, it just jumps back again. I did find a workaround, using "Share" and then "Export a copy", but I'm still curious as to why the old way stopped working. Any idea?Solved36Views0likes2CommentsAutomatically start Uploading photos when charging - “Charge AutoSync”
1. So the idea is that once you plug in your charger, dropbox automatically uploads all your photos into the library. 2. This could be optional with sliding on off button. It could also be combined, so that when your phone is charging, and you are connected to Wi-Fi. It will start to upload your photos. 3. They could also be a third option, including both of the before mentioned solutions, but it would also synchronize your whole dropbox. All uploads and downloads would happen in this period. That way, you will never have to worry about using up all your battery at an inconvenient time,or all ofyour monthly amount of gigabytes from your service provider.20Views1like3CommentsA large scanned PDF did not upload and is missing, can I find it in the iOS mobile app?
Hi, tldr; scanned document didn‘t finish the upload without showing errors or any trace of the file; how to recover the data? Last days I had to scan a lot of documents and though there was a weak connection everything went fine initially. A couple of the uploads were stuck, some waiting, some with errors. All of them finished when I took a break in a wifi hotspot and all those files are safe on the server. The last document had many pages (>50), so I didn‘t wonder when the sandbox showed for a longer time. As everything went fine before, I changed the app and worked on something else. When I switched back to Dropbox App minutes later, there was no sign of any upload running, nothing in the queue, no errors. And no trace of my big file anywhere. In the meantime I also checked the events, but no surprise, the server didn‘t catch this one. Question: Is there any chance to recover the pages of the scan and redo the upload? I have spent a long time to adjust dozens of corners and the original documents are not so easy to access again. The file must have been generated somewhere locally on my device, so can I retrieve that with some ios tools? I didn‘t close the app nor did I restart the device, so I have still some hope. I use browsers and the apps on iPad and iPhone. The scan was taken with the DropBox App 404.2.2 on iPhone 13 running IOS 18.1.1 with plenty of memory space left on iPhone and Dropbox server.Solved28Views0likes3Comments
