I’m afraid we’re are migrating away from Dropbox, however whilst doing so we have noticed the following issue…. (Windows 11 – Latest Dropbox Version). Hence we though this may be useful. Most of our 2TB files are stored as “Online” only using Selective Sync. We then change the file status to “Available offline” so Dropbox copies(sync’s) the files back to the local disk from Dropbox.com. After some time (several hours) the Dropbox app confirms that all files are sync’d and the Dropbox task bar icon also indicates a complete/no activity status. The PC is rebooted and Dropbox is then uninstalled When trying to view via the PC the now sync’d Zip, Jpeg, Docx some of the files are corrupted/won’t open. As a test using Dropbox.com we manually download a problem file using MS Edge and the files will open correctly. It would seem that the Windows Dropbox client indicates it has finished its jobs even through it hasn’t fully completed syncing … We've also noticed that the corrupted file vs good file byte size are the same. Hey there, Here's a problem I'd like some advice on. What I would want: 1. The photos from my iPhone get automatically uploaded to my Camera Uploads account in Dropbox - SUCCESS 2. The uploaded photos from the Camera Uploads account get automatically downloaded/synced to the hard drive of my MacBook - FAIL The filenames of the uploaded photos are visible in my desktop app, and if I double-click on them to view them, they will get downloaded eventually I have checked all settings I could think of and they all seem to be right. Everytime I start my computer even from sleep DropBox seems to spin up with the wheel turning. Is this synching? It takes for-ever and when I try to access a thumb drive simultaneously it’s even longer. How do i stop DropBox from Synching(?) I guess; and just let me up load when I want to store something. Hi all I'm sure this has come up many times before but I can't find an answer. Folders/files which I have created on my Mac have not been syncing to my online Dropbox account since April 2024 (only realised it today). Also, files which my wife has created in a shared folder do not appear on my mac though they do appear in my own and my wife's online account. So this is definitely an issue with my Mac not syncing. I'm thinking that I need to uninstall the app from my mac and reinstall it but I am concerned that I will lose recently created folders/files as they have not uploaded to my online account. Hello, I use Xmind. I use Dropbox to save my Xmind files so that I can work on them in both my Windows 11 desktop and my iPad Pro. When I save an Xmind file from my Windows 11 desktop, it appears as a conflict copy. I work on the files alone -- there is no collaboration; therefore, I am confused as to why I continually get conflicted copies. Likely the solution to this is something simple that I am missing. Agreed to the new Mac Folders and the sync tells me my hard drive is full and I have all of my folders set for Make online only. Everything shows clouds but when I check my hard driveutility it says all space is taken and normally half my drive is clear. I clearedcache but no help. Hello everyone, It seems there's a bug with Dropbox (version 211.4.6008). Any time I add or remove files, they get stuck in "Syncing and Indexing" mode and take forever to sync. To make it work, I have to pause sync and then resume it, which temporarily fixes the issue, but it’s a hassle. It feels really laggy. We have three separate folders on our server, each containing photos for a specific company. I would like to keep these three folders as they are, but on the Dropbox side, I want to sync all the content from these three folders (and continue to sync) into a single folder. Is this possible?
