Exporting files and deleting files to make more space

I want to make more space in my dropbox. It's too full at the moment. Therefore I want to export files to another area, Google Drive, One Drive or an extern hard disk. How can I do that?

If you have the Dropbox application installed on a computer and you're syncing all of your files locally, just move them out of the Dropbox folder to another location of your choosing. They'll be removed from your account and reduce your space usage.

If you don't have the Dropbox application installed, you'll need to download your files from the Dropbox website and save them to the location of your choosing, then delete them from Dropbox to reclaim the space.

How do I know that I have the Dropbox application installed?

Hi @Peetiepot, you can try searching your computer to see if Dropbox is installed there.

Otherwise, you can try installing the desktop app from this link.

I have already installed the Dropbox app. How can I see how much free space I have?

You can see it in the app when clicking the icon itself, or by visiting this page to see the quota on your account.
