I don't have files in my Dropbox account and still there is no free space.

i have the 2GB version and in the dropbox there are files that weight about 2-4 mb in total. i dont know why but the account is full. it says i have 4 GB in backup. how can i free up space? i deleted all the files and it is still the same.
