False prompts
Dropbox has been urging me to get more storage space for weeks now, I am nowhere near to running out. This is a solo storage account. I cannot get the bot to understand that the information is false ...

Ok, I'll say it again. I was able to toll my quota back by permanently deleting my deleted files. I stopped getting the prompts immediately. If that wasn't it I cannot account for what happened. Thanks for yor input but I'm done with the topic.

Hi DakeDrinnon, according to the Dropbox site, how much quota do you have in total and how much are you using?
What is the exact notification you're getting? A screenshot of this would help greatly.

Im on the basic plan with 2 GB space and I had got ro 1.8. I did actually post the screenshot. However after the fuss started here I permanently deleted all of the deleted files that were still waiting for up to 30 days second chance in my Deleted files section. My storage space adjusted to under 1.8 and the notices sropped. So currently I have no problem. All I ever put in were personal still photos, the individual files were not large

Files in the deleted files section on the site don't take up any quota at all, so permanently deleting them would make no difference. Those are just there to allow you to recover them if you need to.
Once your quota usage reaches a certain amount or percentage, then you might receive notifications saying you're running out of quota.

OK, whatever. Bottom line is my percentage used rolled back several points after I complained and I no longer have a problem
