Dropbox reinstall has overloaded my harddrive

Hello. I have been struggling with a Dropbox issue now for several days.

Dropbox was not synching on iMac Ventura 13.6. Advised by Dropbox help to reinstall. Reinstalled.

My hard drive which is 1 TB now is completely overloaded - showing 1.27 of 1.03 TB used; computer is slow, can't operate.

I have used selective synch and only have perhaps 150 GB to be on my compute Dropbox folders...but iMac shows 460 GB of usage.

Am trying to clear Dropbox cache but slow in deleting.

Additional information: System settings-->General-->Strorage: 1.27 TB of 1.03 TB used.

Disk Utility shows 896 GB used and 128.05 GB available.

Have gotten Apple Mail and Evernote warnings that there is no space to save.

    Grateful for any help.

Hi James1997, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you right click the Dropbox folder, choose Get Info, and attach a screenshot showing that, while hiding any personal names or information?

This will help me to assist further!
