When registering, I misspelled my email address and not the site will not let me sign on.

You don't need to verify your existing email to be able to change to a new one.

  • Sign in to your account on https://www.dropbox.com
  • Visit https://www.dropbox.com/account
  • Click on "Verify email" under your email address
  • Click on "Update email address" in the lower left corner of the new modal
  • Enter your new email, confirm it and enter your Dropbox password

I had the same problem and was in a vicious cycle of Dropbox requiring me to verify my account by clicking a link sent to my email (which was misspelled and not valid). The only solution I could find was to delete the account and create a new one with proper email address.
