Dropbox Sign - do I need to cancel the signature request if one person had to sign on paper?

Dropbox Sign - do I need to cancel the signature request if one person had to sign on paper?

Hello Community!

I use Dropbox Sign. For one signature request one person had to sign on paper. Do I have to cancel the signature request now in Dropbox Sign? Or I do nothing? How to archive this unsigned document and make sure that the person who signed on paper doesn't get notification to sign?

Thank you for your help!

Elena

Hi there @Elena-O, welcome  to the Community and happy Monday!

You should be able to cancel your signature requests as outlined here

Apart from that, you can  replace signers in pending signature requests as outlined here

I hope this helps!

Thank you, Walter! And if I cancel the signature request, will the signatures I received so far be deleted completely, or the document will be saved with the signatures received so far?

Hey @Elena-O, sorry to jump in here!

If one of the signers doesn't sign the document before you cancel the request, you'll still see the signed document in the destination folder, with a "(cancelled)" appended to the name of the doc.

But before cancelling the request, you can always download the already signed document to your computer for safe keeping.

I hope this helps!
