I can't delete my account - Dropbox says my username and password don't match

Dropbox is saying my user name and password don't match when I try to permanently delete my account, but I'm not given any useful information beyond that. In other words, how do I fix it?

Thanks for posting on our forum, @jeh76255. 

If you try to reset your Dropbox password from this link, and then attempt to delete the account again, do you still get the same error?
