Paid for Plus but account got deleted after being removed from Business team

Hi,

 

I accidentally joined a team and got removed. now my dropbox plus account is completely deleted and I just recently subscribed the yearly plan. Will I get a refund from this situation?

Hey @elizaoii, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community.

 

When you joined the Dropbox team with your Plus account, you should have received a prorated refund for your Plus plan.

 

However, have you reached out to the team admin, to see if they can restore you to the team?

 

If they have the option to restore you, they can then remove you by converting your account to an individual Basic account.

 

That way you can keep your account and personal files.

the credit card that I have used for the billing is cancelled. how will i get the prorated refund back? I have already created another plus account today. so i don't plan on getting back my previous account.

Hope it’s OK to jump in, @elizaoii. In this case, I suggest getting in touch with your bank directly, so that they can look into this for you. 

 

Keep in mind that, in general, it takes 3-5 business days for refunds to be available in your bank account, in any case.

the credit card/account is closed 2 weeks ago so it's impossible to refund back into the account. is there a chance that the amount can be refunded into my new dropbox plus account or is there anyway to get refunded? It's annoying that my account got deleted and I paid twice this year.

I’m afraid it’s not possible to transfer the refund over to the new Plus account. In any case, your bank should be able to further help, as mentioned above.
