Introducing Groups - the latest addition to the Dropbox Community

Introducing Groups - the latest addition to the Dropbox Community

Graham
Community Manager
It’s been an exciting time behind the scenes here at the Dropbox Community as we’ve been busy working on ways to improve the experience for all of our members. So, without further ado, we’re delighted to announce the launch of Groups, a brand new area on the Community where you can come and look for a chat, seek advice, or simply connect with other like minded people.

Introducing Groups

To start, we’ll have Groups that are based around Dropbox products while they are still in their early release phase. These will be places where you can come to learn, give feedback, look for support and help others. But that’s not all, we also have groups to reflect how you use Dropbox, these will be creative groups where you can come and chat with others, network, collaborate, showcase your work and share your knowledge.

We want Groups to be a true reflection of our members, and we know that everyone uses Dropbox a little bit differently to everyone else, so we plan on building them out with all of the diversity and variety that we see in this Community on a daily basis.

Starting from today, we have four groups, Dropbox Dash and Dropbox AI on the product side, and Dropbox Photography and Dropbox Music on the creative side.

Dash is an AI powered search tool that connects all of your apps, tools and content in a single easy to use search bar. The Dropbox Dash group is a great place to learn more about Dash and how it works. For more information or to find out how to get access to Dash, simply pop on over to the Group and have a look around.

Dropbox AI is a new tool that can summarise large documents, videos, contracts and other content. This allows you to ask questions about your content and receive real time answers. You can find out all you need to know about Dropbox AI and how it can help to improve your Dropbox experience by visiting the Group.

This is a place where photographers of all levels can connect, network, collaborate, showcase their work or share some tips and hints with like minded people. So whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out we’d love to see you over in the Group and hear about how you store your photos or get the most out of your Dropbox account.

This Group is a place for music professionals, musicians and music enthusiasts to connect, network, collaborate, showcase their work, share their knowledge or arrange an impromptu jam sessions with other like minded people. Everyone from master composers to complete novices are welcome to come join the Group and share how they use Dropbox to categorise their music or share ideas with their band members.

Come and get involved

We really want Groups to grow over the coming months and the most important element of this happening is all of you, our Community members, getting involved. So pop on over and join a Group today!
