Feature Fridays - Replay Watermarking

Feature Fridays - Replay Watermarking

As introduced back in early April, Feature Friday is upon us once more! Last month I went over a small but mighty update to Advanced Search operators, and hopefully it’s making a difference for you in your daily work life! May’s Feature Friday is for teams working primarily in Video and Audio files (so if that’s not you, forward the link to this article to your coworker in Marketing, or the Social Media team.

Today, I’m calling attention to the one of the exciting updates we made in the Product launch last week: watermarking

Though we made 4 big changes to Replay that you can read in detail about in our blog, watermarking is getting the callout because it’s been one of the highest requested features in Replay to date, and it’s a difference-maker for creators who need to protect their content.

With more and more customers collaborating as distributed teams, information security has become an even higher priority. So over the past four years, we've been working with some of the world's largest broadcasters to develop dynamic watermarking (automatically adding the IP address, date/time, and email of the recipient) to ensure the content you share stays safe throughout the review process.

Now, Replay gives you a new way to protect your most valuable shared content and track exactly who has access to your work. Now, you can reinforce your ownership of the video content you create and share by adding custom phrases, recipient email addresses and IP addresses, view dates, and view times. You can even control the placement, sizing, and opacity of the watermark.

Are you a content creator? An editor? Have you already found this feature and used it? Comment below, let’s chat through how you and your team do or could use watermarking!
