I can't edit entries when using Dropbox Passwords browser extension in Safari on iOS 17.5.1

I can't edit entries when using Dropbox Passwords browser extension in Safari on iOS 17.5.1

I currently have the latest iOS 17.5.1 and latest updates with Safari.

Anyway, whenever I am using the browser plugin, I can see and create new entries, but I can’t edit them.

There’s no option when viewing the information page (username, password, notes etc screen). The only way I can get edit options is to use the actual Dropbox Paswords app.

Am I missing how to do this? If not, feature request?

Hi @Kenzie24, thanks for contacting us.

In general, the Dropbox Passwords browser extension is used in the desktop versions of browsers, and not for mobile devices.

The Dropbox Passwords app should be used if you're on a mobile device for the full functionality.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

My apologies, this is how my post should have read.  This is what's happening:

  • Open Safari (on iPhone / iOS)
  • With a site that has a login, tap on the username/login field
    • Tap on the "key" in the bottom-right corner of the screen
    • Tap on "Password"
    • On my phone, this then prompts for my FaceID/Passcode
  • Now I see a screen that shows "Dropbox Passwords" and the list of Suggested and All potential accounts (*just like it does in the full iOS app)
    • I tap on the . . . next to the Account I wish to look at
    • Sub menu appears with Autofill, View, but nothing else. *( this is where the full app(s) I believe show an Edit option as well)
      • I tapped on View, thinking perhaps there'd be an option there for edit, but nope.

My use case scenario:

It'd be nice to edit - quickly - account information, just like it does in the iOS app.

So, if it doesn't exist, perhaps, is this community where we can suggest feature requests? 🙂

Hey @Kenzie24 - thanks for your thoughts on this.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried doing this on another browser other than Safari?

As for your feature requests, you can post them in our Share an Idea following these tips.
