I installed the manager in Edge and when I try to open it, it prompts me to "Check “Firefox Windows” for a notification." I go to Ff but do not see any notification. I go to extension manager in Ff and do not see the extension installed (not sure if it was there before or not, but apparently it was). In Ff, I do not see the extension in my extension manager, so from within my Db account, I click on Passwords from the connected apps. It opens this page, https://www.dropbox.com/passwords_extension/app_open," which is then blank. Over and over. So I apparently need to get it working in Ff to fix this, but I cannot reinstall something it thinks is installed but I cannot access.
I just sent you an email @lifespan.
I'll see you there, cheers!

I'm having the same issue. Someone has a solution?
Hey @Dan King!
Just to clarify, did you previously set up Dropbox Passwords on Firefox, and you’re now trying to install the app/web extension on a different device?
Do you, by any chance, have the recovery words that Dropbox initially sent you upon setting up Dropbox Passwords?

yep, that's right. New laptop and trying to set it up in Firefox again.
I don't recall setting up any recovery words.

Hi @Dan King, the recovery words would've been automatically generated when you first set up the Passwords account, and the app would've advised you save them elsewhere in order to recover your account.
If you don't have the recovery modes, do you still have the old computer to view the notification on Firefox?

Yep, thanks. Old computer still available and that worked.
I set up a passphrase on the old computer too. But that seems to be different to the recovery words? Not a very clear system.
Anyways, all good now. Thank you very much.
No worries, glad to hear it worked out. I'd recommend making a copy of the recovery words, in case you need them to login to your account
