Dropbox tips & tricks

Dropbox backup keeps giving me an error that there are too many zip files when I u to download my root folder. It is a backup of an external hdd which was physically damaged. Since I cannot download the root with the web ui, could I use synology or another app to download the entire Dropbox backup folder with an app instead of a web browser?
Hey @dgallant, thanks for your post.
The only way to download your backups, that's actually supported, would be from the backups page online.
I would suggest doing so in batches, so that you don't get the download error you mentioned in your original post.
Any other way wouldn't be supported by Dropbox, so there's no way of knowing whether it would work or not.
I'll leave this thread open, though, in case another user has had a similar experience and has some advice for you.
I hope this helps.

Hello
Does the Backup Product get exposed to synology at all, or just Dropbox? Thanks again team!

Just Dropbox. The only way to interact with the saved backups is through the Dropbox website.
Thank you. Disappointed but at least we know the answer
