You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.
With multilpe users on my dropbox account, I need a feature where I can select which folder mobile uploads are directed to. My wife and I both use our phones for work, and we take a lot of pictures. ...

I see this issue from 2 years back - is it possible to choose the folder that your camera automatically uploads to? I have 2 devices and I want the images to upload into my own folders - NOT the CAMERA UPLOADS folder???

Hey there craigvs - how are you today?
From what I understand you'd like to designate a folder for your automatic camera uploads for each of your devices.
The current way that the automatic camera uploads feature works is to upload all the photos from your connected devices into the default Camera Uploads folder.
This is because we treat your Dropbox account as one account where it makes sense that you would want all your photos to be in one location. There isn't a way currently to have each device upload into its own Dropbox folder using the automatic Camera Upload feature.
Since this is not an option at the moment, I am passing your comments along to our developers as a feature request - thank you for the feedback Craig.
In the meantime, you can manually upload photos and videos to any location with your Dropbox account and offline them as well if needed.
I hope this helps to some extent and let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. Thank you!

Thanks Walter. This would be a good feature to add as I've seen this question being asked quite a lot online.

Thanks for the reply and additional input craigvs - I appreciate it.
As I understand how this would be useful to many of our users, I went ahead and put your feature request in our list - thank you for your valuable feedback.
If you have any more suggestions, questions or even feedback to share with us, please feel free to reach out Craig.
Happy Monday too!

I also vote for that. It would make my by a prof. account as I then can really use dropbox as I want to... My two devices with full automatical upload without any need of manual "interruption"..
Please bring that feature to the app.

I also vouch for this feature, i believe this is what most user want since years back
- Martin W.376 years agoExplorer | Level 3This single feature would make Dropbox the only alternative for a family who wants a truly shared account but with personal photo folders! Currently, our Camera Uploads folder is littered with more than 95% screenshots and gifs that the teenagers save to their phones. Please, please, please enable this! My guess is that it is not a technical problem but rather a safeguard against widespread account sharing that is behind this decision. Unfortunately, this is limiting the usability of the service for families. Maybe you could add a family connection between different accounts where you could administer which folders should be visible/usable for which accounts? The competitors offer shared use of the total space, not actual sharing of ALL files like Dropbox, so I really would like to keep using Dropbox.

Agree with all.... would be awesome to be able to choose separate folders rather than move them later. @Martin.W37 is spot on!!
Also would be good to be able to see a bit bigger version of the pictures on screen when reviewing to help with choosing them to then move them. Thanks !

I know I can take picture and have them automatically put in my dropbox. But is there a setting where I can choose which specific folder in dropbox they are to be uploaded to?
The reason for this is I am trying to share a folder with anoher person and have both our phones upload to the same folder. Is that possible?
- Jane6 years agoDropbox StaffHey PatricF, kindly note that I moved your message under this thread, so as to keep all the relevant feedback under the same chain if that’s okay with you. While this isn’t currently an available feature, you could give this idea a small push by upvoting 🗳️ its implementation. From there, it would be worth noting that you could share a folder with your colleague granting them “Edit” rights & you could both upload the content you wish to share. Thanks again for choosing Dropbox & I'm always here in case you'd like to share your thoughts or feedback; have a wonderful rest of your day ahead until we talk again!

Hi Jane,
Thank you for your answer.
I did give the other person Edit rights but she doesn't automatically upload to my shared folder. She has to manually copy her pictures to my own camera upload folder.
