Have you tried disabling finder intergration?

Yes. However when I start Dropbox (with Finder integration disabled) I see the Dropbox Finder menu item appear, disappear and then reappear anyway. Startup is stuck both with integration disabled and enabled.

This might be worth trying. Go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy. Click on the Privacy tab and select Accessibility from the list on the left pane. Unlock the padlock. See if Dropbox is on the list on the right pane.

If Dropbox is already there, remove it and then add it back, in case the link was broken. Close, restart. Good luck.

I installed the latest beta since and it works just fine. Also, on my other Mac with Mojave the previos verison worked as well. So this must have been a temporary glitch specific to my system. Thank you!
