Yes, but WHAT improvements and fixes? This is getting quite tiring!

Ever since beta release 138.3.2340 I have periodically been reporting that it is difficult/impossible to keep the Dropbox icon on the taskbar after the automatic update has taken place on 64-bit systems.

I wrote "Even if I set the icon to be on the taskbar in the "Taskbar Settings / Select which items appear on the taskbar" window, it returns to the hidden icons popup menu the next time I log in. In that Taskar settings menu window  I can see two icons for Dropbox, one of which I think is a phantom one associated with the previous installed version, and I suspect of causing the problem."

I have been working round the problem by downloading the manual installer and running it after every automatic update. That seemed to make a better job of cleaning up after the previous version than the automatic update did.

At this release the problem appears to have been resolved! It's taken quite a few months. and I've never had an acknowledgement of the existence of the problem. What's the point of being a beta tester if there's no feedback

Files saved on another Mac are not dowloaded to another Mac. Only a "cloud" icon next to the file name (on Finder) is available. With Spotlight the file is found but the Preview is not working (because only a link to the file has been created).

Really really difficult to understand that the "Kernel change" -made things worse than before the Internet. Just script the file download..

I was about to make a Dropbox subscrition but, well, Google Drive seems to be a lot better option at the moment..
