Bug report - Dropbox won't create an Apps/app_folder

Bug report - Dropbox won't create an Apps/app_folder

I selected

Permission type: Scoped App (App Folder)

App folder name: Name_of_App_Folder

and created an app.

According to this https://www.dropbox.com/developers/reference/developer-guide

"App folder
A dedicated folder named after your app is created within the Apps folder of a user's Dropbox."

Neither of these folders (Apps or Apps/Name_of_App_Folder) was created.

Just discovered an additional bug.

When trying to add the label "Bug" in the Labels field below, I get "The following labels are not available here: Bug"

Hi @mp_w,

You haven't clarified completely yet the exact steps. If I understood correctly: In your account you created Dropbox API application of type Application folder. And nothing of application specific folders appears in the same account yet, right? 🧐 Even though you haven't connected the application to your account yet!

If I misinterpret something, please clarify.

Hope this gives direction. 😉

@mp_w As Здравко noted, you'll need to connect the app to your account for the app folder to be created. That is not created when you just register the app. You can find information on how to connect the app in the OAuth Guide.
