Missing files in Dropbox after not logging in for a year

Missing files in Dropbox after not logging in for a year

I have not accessed Dropbox for over a year. However, each year I pay for my subscription. Today I needed to find some old records I keep only to find my entire Dropbox is empty. What gives?

Hi @bob demeter, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

If you haven't accessed your Dropbox account for over a year, it would be deactivated due to inactivity.

Do you see any payments on this page on your account? Could you also check the shared folders, events page and deleted items pages?

This will help me to assist further!

To add to what @Jay has said it is not possible to recover said files.

It also does not happen quickly - there are multiple attempts at contacting users to say this will happen over many many months.
