I'm trying to Rewind a folder to rewind to a version of a spreadsheet shown by Rewind (edit from 13th Sept), but it doesnt appear to happen. Leaving in place an version saved on 5th June...

When I go to the file and try to access the Versions History it only shows the 5th June version.

Hi @mattelgood

Have you checked www.dropbox.com/events to see if the file uploaded on the Friday before you shut down? It can take a few seconds to sync and update. The other thing to check is was Dropbox running?

Thanks for posting on our forum today, @mattelgood

Can you clarify which Dropbox platform you used on the 09/13 to edit your spreadsheet? Was it the Dropbox website or the desktop/mobile app?

If it was one of our apps, are you able to see the updates you've made there?

Let me know what you find and we'll look into this further.

I edited the spreadsheet locally (on desktop) within Excel... I think i saved it after as I closed all spreadsheets on Fri prior to weekend away...

It may be (as I was using a laptop over the weekend) that it was overwritten by an old version left open on laptop, which had very old (5th June) last modified date...?

Hmm, it’s possible. If you open the Excel file on your desktop and/or laptop now, are you able to see and recover the 09/13 version via the Microsoft app?

If yes, the Dropbox app should sync your updates to the web and the rest of your devices.

Hi, the version within "events" was the one from 09/13 that I was after. I downloaded it to my desktop and locally overwrote the one from 5th June. Life saver! Many thanks, Brilliant!

Hi @mattelgood , I am glad to see you got access the version of the spreadsheet you were looking for using Dropbox Rewind.

It's a great feature and can really be a lifesaver (I know this from my own experience 🤓).

But separately to that, I'd personally love to learn more about how you use Dropbox overall, if you have any interest in sharing? I'm curious to hear about people's workflows, maybe I can find some helpful tips or tricks to share with you to make you daily workflow even easier with Dropbox.

Hope to chat soon,
