I can't permanently delete a folder that's filled my quota - says I don't have permissions

Hi, we were, a few years ago using Dropbox to store files for Connectwise automate to reference. Since 2015 we have not been using this, but recently I have had a new need to use this folder. There a folder that was taking up all 2gb (1.96gb to be exact) of storage. I deleted the folder and it let me do that, but when I went to permanently delete the data it gave an error that said I did not have permissions, but no one else has access to this folder. How can I get rid of this data to I can start off clean? Any thoughts to get this done would be welcome since I do not use Dropbox too often.

Something to keep in mind... you don't need to permanently delete files to reclaim space. Simply deleting them is enough. Files located in the Deleted Files section don't take up space in your account.

Hi @Digital323, thanks for messaging the Community!

Is this a shared or private folder on your account?

A screenshot showing this folder on the Dropbox site would be great!

This is the case, but it did not immediately show the proper available space which is why I thought there was something I needed to do

@Digital323, it may take some time to see the updated space on your Dropbox account. Is everything OK now?
