Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
I went to the Apple Store with my Mac because it was impossible to clear up enough storage. He deleted drop box and re installed it, and made me sign back into my account. When I signed in, my entire desktop was gone! He told me it must be on another account (impossible, I showed him emails that show I only have one) and then sent me on my way. I really need to recover these files, and now there are no deleted files (or any files whatsoever) on my drop box. I'm really angry.
Is that the only event @marami ? If so the Apple employee is correct. You have set up a totally new account.
You need to log out and in to the other one. Remember here that if you are using things like Gmail you can use punctuation before the @ sign and have the domain as googlemail.com or gmail.com and they all go to one email address BUT are deemed separate accounts here,

What does www.dropbox.com/events show about the files?
