Can I restore a file with Dropbox Rewind, if I upgrade my account?

Can I restore a file with Dropbox Rewind, if I upgrade my account?

My co-worker deleted lots of files and folders from our shared Dropbox.  We're both on Basic.  I have recovered many of them, but a crucial excel file is missing from one of the folders.

If I pay for an upgrade and Rewind, might I be able to get it back?  There's no sign of it anywhere.

thanks!

Jill

Yes, I checked Chris's deleted files as well on his account - and his events list.  The files I would like recovered never appeared on his Dropbox.  They did not sync either to his Dropbox or to his computer as his Dropbox was full.  Thank you for your help here.

I'm not really sure how it would be possible for them to delete the files, if they were never synced to their account, though.

Can you also search this page, since the files were shared, to see if you can find them there?

If they didnt sync as it was full they are not available to restore via Dropbox I'm afraid - as they don't exist. So it would be possible to delete them locally but they wouldn't then sync/share to other people.

But the files we have lost were all on MY Dropbox, not on Chris's.  Somehow he was able to delete the files, as they were included in folders on his Dropbox which he then deleted.

At this point, can I send you an email in order for us to have a closer look into this @Jill_Davies
