I have scoured the forums for help. There is no "Smart Sync" Option when I right click on a folder on my business dropbox. I used to have the option, it disappeared 2 days ago.
Pertinent info - Windows 10, version 71.4.108, Business account
I have already rebooted countless times, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, checked or completed everything in this article https://help.dropbox.com/desktop-web/smart-sync-experiencing-issue and completed an advanced reinstall of the app per this post https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Syncing-and-uploads/Smart-Sync-options-are-missing-on-my-context-men...
I do have green checks but no syncing arrows in windows explorer. I also appear to have lost at least some files during this process.
I am at a loss but I would sure like to be able to smart sync again
Yes we got it resolved. We did a more in-depth removal of dropbox even than the one I found above followed by repeating several of the same simpler steps outlined above and finally something triggered it to work. I can't tell you exactly what worked because I have no idea to be honest. Something in the sequence of events maybe.
Hey there @MimiB - sorry to hear about this.
This might sound far fetched but could it be that you're running the desktop app without admin rights (on the computer at hand)?

I knew I was missing a point - this is my personal machine. I am the admin.
So are you back up and running now Mimi?

I am sorry - I meant I forgot to tell you in my original post that I am the admin on this machine - that is not the problem. I am not up and running.
Ah, I see now. Thanks for the clarification Mimi.
At this point, could you please try unlinking and relinking your account to the affected device?
Should the issue persist, please send me a screenshot of how this problem has manifested itself on your end so that I can have a concrete view of the matter at hand.
Thanks!

It did not resolve the problem.
When I try to upload a screenshot I get an error that says "AN UNEXPECTED ERROR HAS OCCURED. It is a .jpg file less than 1 MB in size.
In short - I right click on any folder in my business dropbox. Green checkmark or no green checkmark. The context window opens and there is no smart sync option.
I have used selective sync to decide which folders to sync for now because dropbox was trying to download them all.
I can email you a screenshot if you wish, but it will not let me upload it here.
Thanks for the updates on this one Mimi.
Have you tried another browser to upload the screenshot depicting the problem at thand?
Could you try uploading one again as shown below?
Thanks in advance!
