Dear everyone,
Believe me, I tried to solve this issue without putting this question up.
Right now I share my files from Dropbox (A) to another Dropbox (B)
I want to stop sharing the files from A, but if I stop sharing them the dropbox (B) account can't access the files anymore.
How can I solve this?
Thanks Kerstin
Hi @Kerstin Theobald, if the folder is still being shared to both users, both of you would have access to the files.
The simplest method, since you both want a copy of the files, is to copy the files from the shared folder onto a private folder on each account.
Once you're certain they're copied over, you can unshare the shared folder completely. Whoever is the owner could then delete the, now unshared, folder.

To be clear, you no longer want access to the files in Account A, but you want Account B to continue to have access? If so, first make Account B the owner of the share, then remove the share from Account A.
If that's not what your intent is, you'll need to explain it in more detail.
Yes, this could be the solution.
Actually I want that both Accounts have the files but that they are not connected anymore.
Right now I use two Dropbox accounts. I have access to both of them. My (still)husband as well. He has both passwords.
But since my husband and me want to clean up our lives as we are separated since quite a while we would like to stop sharing our files anymore.
So both of us want to keep the files, but we don't want to share them anymore.
If I change the owner,.. then he won't have access to them anymore, right?
