My dropbox on iphone is not synching the latest file from my Mac.  I deleted the dropbox app and reinstalled it and it did not fix the situation

Hi @ellenms, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are the files synced from the Mac appearing on the Dropbox site?

Are you certain that you're signing into the same Dropbox account as that in the Dropbox desktop application?

This will help me to assist further!

Yes- the file is appearing in the Dropbox site on my Mac, but not on the dropbox app on my iphone

Do you see it if you log into your account from a web browser on your iPhone @ellenms?

Could you try renaming it on the website and let us know if it shows up in the mobile app?

I renamed the file (on the Mac) but the old document keeps showing up instead of the new one. I turned off my phone e and turned it on again- but to no avail

Can you clear the app's cache and let us know if this persists @ellenms?

  1. Open the Dropbox iOS app.
  2. Tap the account icon (person) in the bottom right.
  3. Tap the gear icon in the top right.
  4. Scroll down and tap Clear cache.
  5. Tap Clear cache again.

Once you’ve cleared the cache, log out of the Dropbox app, restart your device, then log back in.
