As a last step: have you tried an advanced re-install using these steps @randy123?

It hasn't been called Smart Sync for a while now. When you right-click on a file or folder in your Dropbox folder, look for Make available offline and Make online-only.

I get none of those options. Make available offline and Make online-only are not options in my sync settings either, but are on my other computer.

What version of Dropbox are you running? Have you tried a reinstall yet? Can you provide a screenshot of the options that you do get?

Hey @randy123 - could you clarify if the desktop app is up to date or still syncing in your taskbar?

Also, how long has it been since you first installed the app on this machine? Did you do it with admin privileges

The dropbox app was installed this morning on my new work computer. I spent most of the day with our IT specialist. He installed it and didn't seem to think the issue was on his side, considering my old computer, installed in the same way, was sitting beside us, working just fine 😞 I only select sync'd a few folders and the dropbox is currently 'up to date'

I hope it's okay for me to jump in, @randy123!

Can you check this page, to make sure that the "Dropbox system extension" setting is set to "on"?
